The Evatt Competition is the premier annual event
of UN Youth Australia.
Evatt is a Model United Nations Security Council diplomacy competition with over 2,000 student participants each year.
In 2018 my partner Nicky and I progressed through to the Regional Finals.
In 2019 we progressed through to the Queensland State Finals.

In 2020 we progressed through the heats advancing to the Queensland State Finals where we were First Runner Up.
It a fast paced, high pressure environment that certainly challenges all your negotiation and diplomacy skills.
The competition takes the form of a mock session of the UN Security Council. Teams of two students debate, amend, and vote on a prepared resolution from the perspective of their assigned nation. The students judged the most effective diplomats proceed to the next round

In true Russian style we even vetoed a motion or two.
